IPL Cricket Games

IPL has arrived to the town and one has to confess every thing looks upside down with it. Nothing sounds to be out of equation with IPL, where teams go for it like a group of incredible.

Score more than one ninety and still you see the teams lose their way. Mahendra Singh Dhoni must have felt likewise, when Paul Valthaty sigle – handedly turned it on for Punjab from no where to knock them over.

Delhi Daredevils, who looked rather insipid from their first two outing turned the tables and chased down a Herculean total and floored the Pune Warriors, who looked like a daunting warriors.

Royal Challengers began the tournament with the bang but that was the end of their party, as they have failed to impact in their next three matches now finding themselves on the bottom half of the table.

Centuries can win matches, but not in the chaos theory called IPL, as Sachin Tendulkar’s nerve wracking century of sixty six balls was not enough to imprint the winner’s stamp.

Previous editions break open the trend, where you saw the spinners licking the new ball regulary and this year it has been quite a mixed bag, where several spinners were bited dust as they were smacked down and Ravichandran Ashwin from Chennai Super Kings’s was one classic exception.

Pinch – hitters is quite a debate in one – day cricket and it would be natural for any one to take it granted in this high – flying format but IPL hasn’t witnessed a single triumphant pinch – hitter in its ranks.

Zaheer Khan was promoted for Royal Challengers against deccan Chargers only to be castled by the pace of Dale Steyn to retun to the pavilion and it was a similar script with Irfan Pathan, who was promoted by Virender Shewag.

Stars are only for sky and it seems not for the IPL, where star players like Sreesanth, V. V. S Laxman, Cameroon White, Duminy were benched. One can’t stop but to feel for daredevil captains, who are willing to swagger to any extent to romp to the finish line.

So at the end of road, we conclude IPL is the master wizardry where there is only one rule; rules are meant to broken. Sounds more confusion isn’t it , so just enjoy it rather thinking about it.
