Kings XI Punjab has won the ipl cricket match against Kolkata Knight Riders by 8 wickets with the help of Mahela Jayawardane’s brilliant century. He scored an unbeaten 110 runs from 59 balls with 3 sixes and 14 fours. Sangakkara and Yuvraj Singh are the other batsmen who helped Jayawardena to achieve this victory.
Initially Sourav Ganguly, the captain of KKR has won the toss and elected to bat first. Chris Gayle is the top scorer in the Kolkata IPL team side, he scored 88 runs from 42 balls with 8 sixes and 6 boundaries. Ganguly scored 36 runs and Manoj Tiwary has scored 35 runs from 32 balls.

Chennai Super Kings IPL team has won the important match against Rajasthan Royals by 23 runs. M.S Dhoni, the captain of Chennai ipl team has one the toss and elected to bat first. The opening batsmen of CSK Murali Vijay and Mathew Hayden has given a smashing opening with sixes and fours. Murali Vijay the local boy fired well and he has scored his first century (127 runs from 56 balls) in IPL with 11 sixes and 8 fours with the strike rate of 226.79. In the middle order, Albie Morkel has got his IPL fifty, He has scored 62 runs from 34 balls with 5 sixes and 4 fours.

The team with dismal performance in both the IPL T2o earlier editions is looking for a turn around. The captain is changed and Dada is back. David Whatmore is the new coach and Wasim Akram is appointed as bowling coach. The Newsland pace bowler Shane Bond is on their side. There is total revamp in the entire setup to achieve the goal.
Saurav Ganguly
Although he is not playing much cricket in these days still lot of cricketing sense is left with him. He is a shrewd and a tough cricketer. His attacking attitude is definitely a plus point for the team. His expertise combined with the other player’s talent will make Kolkatta Knight Riders a serious contender.
Chris Gayle
The most devastating left handed opener gives a very good start to the match. He is also a very useful bowler and fielder.
B J Hodge
The Australian reliable right handed batsman can open the innings and accelerate the score.
Manoj Tiwari

The team lead by veteran Australian leg spinner made shocking waves at the DLF IPL 1st edition by winning the title. Although declared as the weakest team in the tournament by the media and cricket experts, Shane Warne by his intelligent leadership proved all predictions wrong. This time the team is handicapped by injuries of main players like Gram Smith and also non selection of Pakistan players. But, Shane Warne has the ability to turn around all negative factors into positive and once again prove all predictions wrong.
Shane Warne:
His leadership quality and his ability to groom young talents will be a great advantage of the team. As a bowler nothing has to be added new as his reputation is well established..
Yousuf Pathan:
The ghastly hitter is in very good form in the domestic matches and lot depends on his success in the tournament.
M J Lumb:
Hew is an opening left handed batsmen playing in English League and has a very good record in T20 format games. He will the gap created by the absence of Smith.
Shaun Tait:
One of the finest fast bowlers in the world who can achieve the maximum speed in his deliveries.. He can wreck the opposition team with his terrible speed.
Munaf Patel:
One of the quickest bowlers of India and he can add variety to the bowling of DLF IPL T20 Rajasthan Royals team.
D R Martyn:
The Australian veteran known for his exemplary batting talents is going to re enter cricketing field after a lapse of several years. His experience will be an added advantage of the team.

David Warner has given an wonderful opening batting for Delhi, he scored an unbeaten 107 from 69 balls with 5 sixes and 9 fours. Other than Warner Paul Collingwood has scored 53 runs from 45 balls. These 2 batsmen helped Delhi to get 177 runs from the limited 20 overs with the loss of 4 wickets.
KKR’s opening was not good, Chris Gayle has made 30 runs from 21 balls with 2 sixes and 2 fours and David Hussey has scored 29 runs from 32 balls. Other than these 2 batsmen, Anglo Mathews and Wriddiman Saga were scored 24 runs and 20 runs for Kolkata Knight Riders.
